What are Online Multiple Choice Assignments? | | A multiple choice assignment is an examination that consists of a variable number of questions. For each question there is a variable number of answers presented - some of which are true and some of which are false. To successfully pass a multiple choice assignment question you have to find all true answers and avoid choosing false answers.
The online mc-assignments we offer here at viCampus offer a way to check your progress in a particular course. If a course you are enrolled for offers one or more of those assignments you can do the assignment online. After completing one mc-assignment you will get immediate feedback about your score and which answer are the correct ones. | | top |

How many answer choices are offered for a question and how many can I select? | | There is a variable number of answer choices for each question, but the bottom line is that at least one true answer is offered. Note that all offered answer choices can be true. You can select any number of choices you want to, ranging from none to all that are available. | | top |
|
How does the grading system for an assignment work? | | For each question in a multiple choice assignment you can get a maximum score that equals the number of true answers provided for a question. For each true answer selected you get one point. For each false answer selected your point score is decreased by one. The point score for each question is always >= 0, there is now way you can get a negative score for a question. Finally, your result of the assignment is the sum of all scores you got for all questions of the assignment. | | top |

Is there a time limit and can I stop and continue an assignment later? | | There is no time limit involved. You can think about the questions and the answer choices as long as you wish. You can even stop an assignment any time you want, for example by closing your browser or selecting a link from the menu. Your progress does not get lost but is stored in our database. If you have started an assignment it will be listed on the corresponding classroom website for you. You can continue with the assignment any time you want.
Naturally, this break and continue policy along with the lack of a time limit allows you take a look at other resources such as the DirectX SDK documentation, the course material, Google, and things like that. And this is indeed what we encourage you to do. The assignments are not meant to test if you can remember a certain function name or attribute set of a particular object. Instead we understand our assignments as yet another way of guided learning. You simply have to prove that you know where to find the corresponding information and that you understood the information we provided you with. | | top |
